The gallery helps in many of the following ways: Curation, Art Transportation, Scouting national and international award winning artists to create art for the exhibit, Providing storage space for the artwork in between exhibits, and the gallery is also proud to represent some of the artists involved. As the program expands, the gallery will be able to offer more services. Including services which will allow the public to commission artists from the exhibit to paint portraits of anyone the patron chooses. Beyond the Diagnosis Art Exhibit
Beyond the Diagnosis Art Exhibit’s focus is the rare disease patient. Artists have donated their time and talents to paint rare dis patients for this groundbreaking Exhibit. This beautiful exhibit is traveling to medical schools, research institutes and hospitals around the globe, encouraging the medical community to look “beyond the diagnosis” to the patient. With an average diagnosis time of 8 years and few treatment options, doctors and rare disease patients need to have a more engaged approach, to reduce diagnosis time, and improve care.
The exhibit had its debut at Brown University’s Alpert Medical Center. From there it went to Harvard’s Medical School, where the work was, on display, in Gordon Hall’s Transit Gallery. In the first month of 2016, the Exhibit will be on display at the National Institute of Health.
